GETTING MYSELF BACK ON TRACK

Well, as with most things in life – getting back on track has been easier said than done. The truth of the matter is I’m a shiny ball business ideas person and when one drifts past, or sometimes dives into my head, I can’t help it; hot pursuit doesn’t begin to describe it.

The issue, and I’m sure most of you will have encountered similar, is most shiny, new and brilliant initiatives to better your business, never slip seamlessly into place. They invariably need a completely new app for which you need to register, which then at first refuses to believe you are who you say you are because it appears you might have registered your email on a previous occasion and then taken things no further. You have no recall whatsoever of this, but an app never forgets, and it bears grudges!

Once you surmount this hitch, the programme then flatly refuses to accept you’re human, and only on your fifth attempt do you manage to correctly tick how many ruddy bridges are in the test grid, although you’d think this in itself should prove you’re a person because AI would get it right straight away or be scrapped. Are you on the home run now? Are you heck.

More often than not it transpires the shots of you and your books you need to put onto this new platform are a different size from any you currently use and once you’ve resized you discover, contrary to its open-armed home page we’re easy-peasy-to-use welcome, you’re going to have to resort to a YouTube video with a terribly enthusiastic speaking nineteen-to-the-dozen individual who you have to keep putting on pause to allow both of you to breathe while you attempt to follow instruction.

So, there you have it, this disappearing down random rabbit holes and the time it takes is the reason why a shiny balls business ideas chaser like me is inevitably going to take far, far longer to get back on track than anticipated.
